🎯 Quizzes

Quizzes turn your channel into a game show: the agent posts questions, members answer interactively, and correct answers earn XP. Build quizzes in the webapp, run them on demand, or schedule them to recur automatically.

Overview

When configured, the agent can:

  • Post an interactive quiz in a channel, question by question, on a timer
  • Score in three modes β€” first correct answer wins, everyone who answers collects, or a speed-scored race
  • Award XP per correct answer plus podium bonuses for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
  • Schedule quizzes to run once or on a recurring interval
  • Feed quiz placements into πŸ—ΊοΈ Quests as "Win or place in a game" completions

Configuration

To configure quizzes:

  1. Open your project in the Fren One webapp.
  2. Select the Discord server you want to configure.
  3. In the sidebar under Agent Configuration, select Gamification, then the Quizzes tab.
  4. Select "New Quiz".

Questions

Options & correct answer2–4 answer options, max 200 characters each. Select the radio next to the correct one. Add options up to 4; remove down to 2.

Each quiz in the list shows its question count, mode, a schedule icon when scheduled, and a status pill: Active, Completed, or Draft.

How it works in Discord

When a quiz runs, the agent posts it in the configured channel β€” the intro message with your description first, then the questions, each open for the configured number of seconds. Members answer interactively in the channel, and the agent scores according to the mode: first correct answer takes it, everyone who answers correctly collects, or speed decides in race mode.

Correct answers pay the per-question XP, and the top three finishers collect the podium bonuses on top. Quiz placement also counts toward πŸ—ΊοΈ Quests of the "Win or place in a game" type, so a strong finish can complete a quest at the same time.

Saving your changes

Changes on this page apply immediately when you save each quiz or question β€” there is no page-level Save bar. Deleting a quiz asks for confirmation and permanently deletes the quiz and all its questions.

Best practices

Quizzes members come back for
  • Schedule a recurring quiz at a consistent time β€” "Friday Trivia" works because it's every Friday.
  • Keep Seconds per question near the 30-second default: long timers kill momentum, short ones punish slow typers.
  • Use ⚑ Race (speed-scored) for hype events and Collect all answers when you want everyone to walk away with XP.
  • Write 3–4 plausible options per question β€” with only 2, guessing pays too well.
Troubleshooting

Can't run or schedule a quiz?

  • A quiz needs a Channel selected, and scheduling also requires at least one question. Draft quizzes without both can't go live.

Can't add questions to a new quiz?

  • Questions can only be added after the quiz itself is created. Save the quiz first, then the questions editor unlocks.

The scheduled time seems off?

  • Schedule times are entered in your local time, and must be in the future.
