🩺 Curation
A knowledge base degrades quietly — sources fail to ingest, facts go stale, duplicates creep in. The Curation tab is your maintenance view: automatic health checks, an on-demand AI content audit, and a running list of questions your agent couldn't answer.
Overview
The Curation tab surfaces three things:
- Health & Curation — automatic checks that flag broken, empty, outdated, or duplicated sources
- Content audit — an on-demand AI pass that hunts for contradictions, outdated facts, and low-quality content
- Questions your agent couldn't answer — real member questions the knowledge base has no answer for
Configuration
To review curation findings:
- Open your project in the Fren One webapp.
- Select the Discord server you want to configure.
- In the sidebar under Agent Configuration, select Knowledge Base, then the Curation tab.
Health & Curation
Automatic checks run over your sources and group findings by kind:
| Check | What it flags |
|---|---|
| Failed to ingest | Sources that couldn't be processed into the knowledge base. |
| No indexed content | Sources that ingested but produced no usable content. |
| May be outdated | Sources that look stale and may need a refresh. |
| Possible duplicates | Sources that appear to cover the same content. |
Each finding offers three actions: Refresh (re-ingest the source), Delete (remove it, after confirmation), or Dismiss (acknowledge the finding without changing anything). When there's nothing to fix, the section shows "No issues found" — "Your knowledge base looks healthy."
Content audit
Select Run audit to have the AI read through your knowledge base and flag contradictions, outdated facts, and low-quality content. For each finding you can:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Dismiss | Acknowledge the finding without changing content. |
| Delete | Removes the offending chunk from the knowledge base. |
| Fix with AI | Describe the correction in your own words, and the AI rewrites the source content accordingly. Every fix is recorded and reversible. |
Fix with AI is the fastest way to correct a stale fact without re-authoring the source — tell it what changed, and the rewrite is applied for you.
Questions your agent couldn't answer
This section lists member questions from the last 30 days that the knowledge base had no answer for, along with how many times each was asked. Each question can be dismissed once you've handled it — typically by adding the missing content in 📥 Sources.
Saving your changes
Actions on this page apply immediately — refreshes start right away, dismissals clear the finding, and deletes ask for confirmation first. There is no page-level Save bar.
Best practices
- Skim the health checks regularly — a source that failed to ingest is invisible to your agent until you Refresh or replace it.
- Run a Content audit after big product or documentation changes to catch contradictions between old and new sources.
- Treat the unanswered-questions list as a to-do: high ask counts are the gaps members feel most.
- Prefer Fix with AI over deleting for stale facts — it's recorded and reversible, and the rest of the source stays intact.
Troubleshooting
A source keeps showing "Failed to ingest"?
- Refresh retries the ingestion. If it fails repeatedly, delete the entry and re-add it in 📥 Sources — the original file or URL may be inaccessible.
A "Fix with AI" rewrite went wrong?
- Fixes are recorded and reversible, so you can undo the change and try again with a more specific correction.
Dismissed findings you want back?
- Dismissing only acknowledges a finding; the underlying source is unchanged. Re-running checks or the audit evaluates your content again.
