🤍 User Whitelist
The User Whitelist allows you to exempt specific users from Fren One's moderation rules. Whitelisted users can post without restrictions - they won't be warned, muted, kicked, or banned by the bot's moderation filters.
Overview
This feature is particularly useful for trusted community members, team members, ambassadors, or partners who require flexibility in the chat. When a user is whitelisted, all moderation filters are bypassed for their messages.
Configuration
To access the User Whitelist:
- Use the
/settingscommand in your chat - Navigate to 🛡️ Moderation → 🤍 User Whitelist
- Use the available options to manage your whitelist
Adding Users to the Whitelist
Follow these steps to whitelist users:
- Click Add User
- Enter the user's Telegram username (e.g.,
@username) or Telegram ID- Prompt: "📝 Write the usernames or ids of the users you wish to add to the whitelist."
- Type in usernames in the chat. Press Enter to validate
To add multiple users at once, separate their usernames or IDs with commas.
Example: @user1, @user2, 123456789 or user1, user2, 123456789
Once added, the selected users are now fully exempt from all Fren One moderation actions.
Removing Users from the Whitelist
Follow these steps to remove users from the whitelist:
- Click Remove User
- Enter the user's Telegram username (e.g.,
@username) or Telegram ID- Prompt: "📝 Write the usernames or ids of the users you wish to remove from the whitelist."
- Press Enter to validate
To remove multiple users at once, separate their usernames or IDs with commas.
Example: @user1, @user2, 123456789 or user1, user2, 123456789
Once removed, the selected users are now subject to normal moderation rules.
Best Practices
- Whitelist only trusted community members who need posting flexibility
- Regularly review your whitelist to ensure it's up to date
- Use usernames when possible for easier identification
- Keep the whitelist limited to essential personnel
- Document why specific users are whitelisted (internally)
- Whitelisted users can bypass ALL moderation filters
- Be selective about who you add to the whitelist
- Monitor whitelisted users' activity periodically
- Remove users from the whitelist if they leave your team or lose trusted status
- Consider using role-based permissions instead of blanket whitelist for less critical cases

Troubleshooting
Whitelisted user still getting moderated?
- Verify the username or ID was entered correctly
- Check if the user was successfully added (no typos or extra spaces)
- Ensure the bot has proper admin privileges
- Try removing and re-adding the user
Cannot add a user to the whitelist?
- For IDs, ensure you're using numeric Telegram IDs
- Check for proper comma separation when adding multiple users
- Make sure the bot has admin permissions
Need to find a user's Telegram ID?
- Use the user's username if available (easier)
- Forward a message from the user to a bot like @userinfobot
- Check with other Telegram ID lookup tools
